On the Radar: Alyssa Callander

Today, I am happy to share with you songstress/songwriter, Alyssa Callander, who is due to release her new single, That Choice, tomorrow, 8th August 2025.

Alyssa’s history with bullying, not feeling good enough and making her younger self proud is all entangled in That Choice, and delicately flows without a hitch, throughout the entirety of her releases.

Her motto, “showing up for little me” is precious, and sends out a caring, wonderous message to all of those wallflowers who have often felt misunderstood, or like they are set apart from the crowd (which is how I often feel, so the relatable factor is at a high after writing this On the Radar piece).

Alyssa’s commanding lyricality is poetic, charming and internally engaging for those of all ages, which sets her apart from the crowd again, but in the best possible manner. Her words are a true testament to how writing can make you feel, and also how it helps to seal those once open wounds.

One look at Alyssa’s website and social media, and you get to know pieces of her, pieces that may have been hidden before, however, she has garnered the strength to share her experiences through time, growth and of course, her music.
